Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer for the GFCO Analytics Engineering team within Customer Experience. You will build data foundations and models powering CX and compliance operations, owning end-to-end data pipelines, ML-powered solutions, and causal measurement frameworks.

You will design self-service dashboards and AI-assisted tools in Looker, Hex, or Python visuals to accelerate insights for CX stakeholders and ops.

Qualifications

• 5+ years on analytics engineering, data science, or data engineering with ownership of production data pipelines and dimensional models.
• Advanced SQL and Python for data model development, pipeline orchestration, causal inference, and ML deployment.
• Experience designing and executing A/B tests, quasi-experiments, and causal inference with rigor for executive reporting and regulatory defensibility.
• Proven success building production-grade dashboards and self-serve analytics solutions in Looker/Tableau/Hex or similar.
• Experience applying ML to operational problems in compliance or regulatory data domains (AML, transaction monitoring).
• Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own design, build, and maintenance of production data pipelines and dimensional models.
• Drive self-service dashboards and AI-assisted analytics tools to reduce time-to-insight for CX and operations.
• Design causal inference frameworks and experiments to measure impact on retention and engagement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions and roadmaps.
• Lead deep-dive investigations into KPIs using Bayesian methods, time series, and matching techniques.
• Shape analytics engineering standards, docs, and testing practices for higher data quality.
