Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to build data foundations and analytical models powering CX and compliance. You will own end-to-end data pipelines, dimensional models, and ML-powered analytics products supporting billions of customers.

You will design experiments, apply ML to operational problems, and develop AI-assisted tools in Looker/Tableau/Hex, while collaborating with cross-functional teams on strategic analytics roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data science, or data engineering with production data pipelines and dimensional models.
• Advanced SQL and Python used for data model development, pipelines, causal inference, statistics, and ML deployment.
• Experience designing and executing A/B tests, quasi-experiments, and causal inference with rigor for executives and regulatory defensibility.
• Proven success building production-grade dashboards and self-serve analytics in Looker/Tableau/Hex that reduce ad-hoc requests.
• Experience applying ML to operational problems in compliance or regulatory data domains (AML, transaction monitoring).

Responsibilities

• Own design, build, and maintenance of production data pipelines, dimensional models, and ML-powered analytics products for CX and compliance.
• Develop self-service dashboards and AI-assisted analytics tools to speed insights for CX stakeholders and operations.
• Design and run causal inference frameworks and quasi-experiments to measure impact on retention and engagement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions and manage analytics roadmap.
• Lead investigations into KPIs using Bayesian methods, time series, and propensity score matching to improve outcomes and efficiency.
• Shape analytics engineering standards, docs, and testing to improve speed and data quality.
