Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer on the GFCO Analytics Engineering team to build data foundations and analytical models powering customer experience and compliance operations.

You will own end-to-end data models, design experiments, and apply ML to improve how we serve millions of customers. You will design production pipelines, dashboards, and causal inference frameworks, and partner across teams to deliver scalable data solutions with high data quality and rigor.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics engineering, data science, or data engineering with ownership of production data pipelines and models in dbt, Airflow, Snowflake or similar.
• Advanced SQL and Python for data modelling, pipelines, causal inference, stats, and ML deployment.
• Experience designing and executing A/B tests, quasi-experiments, and causal methods with rigor for exec reporting and compliance.
• Proven success building production-grade dashboards and self-serve analytics in Looker, Tableau, Hex or similar.
• Experience applying ML to operational problems, including classification, detection, and attribution in regulatory domains (AML, monitoring, case handling).
• Knowledge of responsible AI with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, build, and maintenance of production data pipelines and ML-powered analytics products for CX and compliance.
• Drive self-service dashboards and AI-assisted analytics tools to reduce time-to-insight for CX stakeholders and operations.
• Design and execute causal inference frameworks and experiments to measure CX program impact on retention and engagement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions and manage a long-term analytics roadmap.
• Lead deep-dives into KPIs using advanced statistics to identify opportunities for improved customer outcomes and efficiency.
• Shape analytics standards, docs, and testing frameworks to improve quality and velocity.
