Job summary

Clarus, a pet-health technology powerhouse, seeks an experienced Analytics Engineer to own analytics architecture and pipelines. You will transform raw data into analytics-ready models, build dbt datasets, and collaborate with data engineering and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data products.

You will work in a remote U.S. setting aligned to Eastern/Central hours, with travel as needed and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, data engineering, analytics, information systems, mathematics, or equivalent.
• 8+ years leading analytics engineering or related initiatives.
• Advanced SQL skills with complex transformations and optimization.
• Deep dbt experience including models, testing, and production workflows.
• Strong Python and Databricks expertise for data processing and automation.

Responsibilities

• Own analytics engineering roadmap, standards, and practices.
• Design and evolve analytics architecture across data layers (bronze to gold).
• Build and optimize dbt models transforming source data into analytics-ready datasets.
• Write optimized SQL and use Python for data transformations and automation.
• Develop dimensional data models supporting dashboards and data products.
• Establish KPI definitions, data contracts, and authoritative sources.
• Implement tests, lineage, monitoring, and data quality controls.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering on ingestion and handoffs.
• Mentor team members and drive adoption of best practices.
