Job summary

Vanta is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lay the foundation for a best-in-class business analytics function. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Customer Success to ensure that our analytics stack meets current business needs with an eye toward the future.

You will build scalable data assets on Snowflake and dbt, apply ML, and lead executive analytics reviews to translate insights into strategic recommendations that guide company decisions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data science experience in an applied business setting.
• Strong SQL, Python (or R), statistics, and ML foundations.
• Experience designing and evaluating experiments and predictive models.
• Experience building scalable data assets and analytics frameworks on cloud platforms.
• Deep experience with data visualization.
• Experience using AI-assisted analytics tools and LLM workflows.
• Understanding of product analytics, customer behavior, and SaaS metrics.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted product data assets using dbt, Snowflake, and modern analytics infrastructure.
• Leverage AI-powered analytics tools to accelerate insight generation and decision-making.
• Define and evolve measurement frameworks for product health and customer lifecycle.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Customer Success to influence product strategy through data.
• Lead executive analytics reviews and translate analyses into actionable recommendations.
