Job summary

Aquent Talent in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer for a 6-month engagement with potential extension or permanent conversion. You will lead analytics initiatives across enterprise procurement and supplier management to transform spend, supplier, contract, and savings data into strategic insights.

You must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be able to work on a W-2 basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years leading analytics initiatives.
• Strong SQL for data extraction, reconciliation, and validation.
• Experience building dashboards with Power BI or similar.
• Forecasting, projections, benchmarks, and performance metrics.
• Data quality, governance, and data lineage documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and maintain self-serve analytics dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with Finance, Category Management, Supplier Management, IT.
• Analyze invoice data, payment cycles, POs, and maverick spend for improvements.
• Develop forecasting methodologies and scenario models for spend and contracts.
• Evaluate supplier performance, risk, and contract metadata.
• Lead savings validation with Finance to ensure accuracy.
• Benchmark procurement metrics against market data.
• Establish data quality rules and data dictionaries across systems.
• Support IT on data mapping and reporting for system integrations.
