Job description

Aquent is partnering with a major Healthcare company to find a Senior Analytics Engineer for a 6-month assignment that has the potential to extend or go perm. Join a caring community and lead complex analytics initiatives across Enterprise Procurement and Supplier Management to transform complex spend, supplier, contract, and savings data into high-impact strategic insights.

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be authorized to work in the United States
  • Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment
  • Be able to work on a W-2 basis (C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this position)
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Analytical Solutions: Design, deliver, and maintain self-serve analytics dashboards, reports, scorecards, and executive-ready analyses across payments, procurement, supplier management, savings, and data governance.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Initiatives: Collaborate with Finance, Category Management, Supplier Management, IT, and Systems teams to drive alignment on business definitions, KPI assumptions, data flows, and strategic recommendations.
  • Optimize Spend & Working Capital: Analyze invoice data, payment cycles, purchase orders, maverick spend, cycle times, and payment terms to identify actionable working-capital improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Drive Procurement Forecasting & Modeling: Establish and maintain forecasting methodologies and scenario models for spend, savings, pipeline activity, and contract renewals while tracking forecast performance over time.
  • Perform Contract & Supplier Analytics: Evaluate supplier performance, risk, sustainability, diversity, and contract metadata to enable base rationalization and proactively track upcoming expirations and renewals.
  • Conduct Savings Validation: Lead financial tie-out activities with Finance and key stakeholders to validate cost savings accuracy and eliminate duplicate recognition.
  • Benchmark & Mitigate Risk: Benchmark purchase prices and procurement performance indicators against market data to pinpoint risk areas and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Establish Data Quality & Governance: Create data validation rules, reconciliations, audits, source-to-report documentation, and data dictionaries to maintain high data integrity across systems.
  • Support System Integrations & Enablement: Partner with IT on data mapping and reporting requirements for system integrations while providing technical guidance, office hours, and documentation to empower internal users.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) with 5+ years of experience leading complex data analytics, BI, procurement analytics, or finance analytics initiatives.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction, reconciliation, and validation, alongside proven expertise in developing dashboards using Power BI or a comparable BI tool.
  • Forecasting & Modeling: Demonstrated track record creating forecasts, projections, benchmarks, and performance metrics that directly inform strategic business decisions.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Proven ability to establish data validation rules, execute reconciliations, trace root causes, and document data flows, business logic, and definitions.
  • Problem-Solving & Communication: Outstanding ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical frameworks and clearly convey complex technical findings to non-technical leaders.
  • Autonomy & Influence: Strong organizational skills to independently prioritize and manage a portfolio of concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Domain Expertise: Prior experience in procurement, supply chain, strategic sourcing, accounts payable, strategic spend analytics, working capital analysis, or Healthcare analytics.
  • Enterprise Tools: Hands-on experience working with enterprise procurement and contract systems such as Oracle, Coupa, Zip, or iCertis.
  • Advanced Analytics: Experience applying statistical analysis, financial modelling, or scenario analysis in a large-enterprise environment.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $40.97-$45.52/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
