Job summary

Slalom is seeking an Analytics Engineer within its Data Experience (DX) practice to bridge business needs and technical solutions. You’ll architect semantic layers, build data-rich applications, and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver next-generation analytics experiences.

With 5+ years in analytics or data engineering and proficiency in SQL, Python, and platforms like Looker, Power BI, Tableau, and Sigma, you’ll lead design sessions, model data, ensure data quality,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering or data engineering.
• 3-5 years leading project teams and complex work streams.
• Proficiency in SQL and/or Python; experience with semantic layer tools and analytics platforms (dbt, Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Sigma).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and modernize semantic layers to enable self-service analytics, AI, and cross-platform reporting.
• Design and develop data-rich applications that blend standard software with open-source technologies (Streamlit).
• Facilitate design sessions translating insights into data models and technical solutions.
• Develop and optimize data models using SQL, Python, or other languages.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to ensure data quality and alignment with business goals.
• Implement best practices for data integration, governance, and analytics enablement.
• Deliver integrated analytics experiences beyond dashboards for holistic user-centric solutions.
• Stay current with emerging tools and techniques in analytics engineering, AI, and data platforms.
