Job summary

Slalom is a人-focused tech consulting firm helping clients accelerate their digital transformation. The Data Engineer will design and build scalable data platforms, pipelines, and governance across multiple cloud ecosystems, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will work with AI-enabled data workloads, emphasize secure, observable data foundations, and contribute to reusable patterns and accelerators within Slalom. Hybrid/in-office with NY locations preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with at least one major cloud or data platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks or Snowflake).
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python/Java/Scala).
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT, streaming, APIs, orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable cloud-native data platforms and data products.
• Develop reliable batch and streaming pipelines and orchestrations.
• Translate requirements into maintainable engineering tasks and deliverables.
• Work across AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake as needed.
