Job summary

Coinbase is hiring an Analytics Engineer to join the Compliance Technology team within the Platform organization. You'll build and own end-to-end data pipelines powering compliance detection and decisioning, working with Compliance, Product, and Engineering to ensure monitoring and auditable controls.

As part of a remote-first company with quarterly in-person "surges", you will design data models, ensure data quality, and translate control requirements into scalable data structures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics or data engineering roles with strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines with dbt and Airflow.
• Proven ability to work on cross-functional projects in regulated environments.
• Proficient in Python for automation and data analysis.
• Ability to translate requirements into scalable data structures and features.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain curated datasets and data models powering compliance controls.
• Own data quality for compliance datasets with validation checks and lineage tracking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to close upstream data gaps and standardize instrumentation.
• Improve detection signal quality and define success metrics for controlled rollouts.
• Develop repeatable reporting pipelines for Compliance leaders and auditors.
