Job summary

Extend seeks a Financial Systems Engineer to own the invoicing and reimbursement logic across contracts and claims. You will build dbt financial models, perform cross-system reconciliations, and drive root-cause analysis with automated fixes.

You’ll work hands-on with SQL, production APIs, and financial data, reporting to the Director of Financial Systems Engineering. A strong bias toward automation and clarity will help you scale our audit-ready processes.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years in analytics or data engineering.
• Strong SQL proficiency for large financial datasets.
• Reconciliation skills and ability to prove two systems agree.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain invoicing and reimbursement logic.
• Reconcile across systems with automated tie-outs.
• Drive root cause analysis and fix source of truth breaks.
• Build and maintain financial models in dbt with tests and docs.
• Triage data issues, quantify impact, and track fixes.
• Validate expense accuracy and automate reimbursement paths.
• Support merchant configuration and internal audits.
