Job summary

Premier Truck Rental is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to lead transformation and semantic modeling across the enterprise data stack (dbt, Snowflake, Fivetran, Sigma). You will build scalable data models, ensure data quality, and partner with Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and the BI team to enable trusted self‑service analytics and impactful dashboards.

You will mentor junior engineers, set standards for modeling and CI/CD, and drive continuous improvement while translating business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years in analytics engineering or data modeling with ownership of a transformation layer.
• Advanced, production‑level dbt expertise with modeling, testing and documentation.
• Strong SQL for performance‑tuned querying and transformations.
• Deep Snowflake experience or similar cloud data warehouse.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and set technical standards.
• Experience with modern ELT tools (Fivetran) and Sigma is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD for data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core dbt models and Sigma datasets, applying dimensional modeling.
• Own enterprise shared dimensions across Finance, Commercial, and Fleet/Ops.
• Tune Snowflake performance and optimize transformations and costs.
• Establish testing, quality, and observability standards for data assets.
• Mentor Analytics Engineers and drive coding standards and reviews.
• Collaborate with BI to translate dashboards into robust datasets.
• Maintain documentation of models and workflows with CI/CD practices.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce technical debt and scale analytics.
