Total Wine & More in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to bridge data engineering and analytics. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data models using dbt to support self‑service analytics and reporting for merchandising, supply chain, marketing, and e‑commerce.

Collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, you will own semantic layers and data marts, ensure data quality and governance, and drive performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 years in analytics engineering, data modeling, or BI development.
• Expert SQL with dbt and modern data stack tools.
• Knowledge of data governance, version control, and testing.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and maintain modular data models to enable self-service analytics.
• Translate business logic into clean data transformations with dbt.
• Own semantic layers and data marts for dashboards and KPIs.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and cross-domain consistency.
• Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to improve tooling and observability.
• Document data assets and promote data literacy across the org.
