Instructure, Inc. is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to build scalable data models used across Finance, Operations, Product, and Sales. You will work daily in dbt and Snowflake, own models end-to-end, and collaborate with business leaders to ensure correct, trustworthy metrics.

The role emphasizes clean SQL, practical data solutions, and strong communication with directors and executives in a SaaS environment.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or another quantitative field preferred.
• Deep hands-on experience with dbt, including macros, packages, incremental models, snapshots, and testing.
• Strong Snowflake skills, with advanced SQL and performance/cost awareness.
• Experience designing dimensional models (star schemas, facts, dimensions) and data architecture instincts.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain dimensional models in dbt and Snowflake for reporting and analysis across multiple functions.
• Translate business questions into data requirements by working with senior leaders.
• Own the full model lifecycle: source ingestion, staging, mart layers, tests, documentation, deployment.
• Set and enforce modeling standards, naming conventions, grain definitions, and testing practices.
• Tune Snowflake performance and cost via materialization, clustering, and warehouse sizing.
• Review pull requests, mentor analysts and engineers, raise team quality.
