Job summary

Torc Robotics is seeking a senior BI/data engineering leader to own data models and dashboards powering Power BI and other BI tools across the business. You will build a governed, reusable data layer between source systems and dashboards used by multiple business units, while mentoring teammates and shaping data governance.

Responsibilities include designing source-of-truth data models, maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, and defining KPIs with SQL and Python.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data modeling and warehouse design.
• Strong SQL and Python (pandas, PySpark) skills.
• Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines with data quality checks.
• Hands-on with BI tools and dashboard design.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own data models serving as the single source of truth for BI reporting.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that feed models at scale.
• Translate stakeholder needs into durable data models and pipelines.
• Define and maintain KPIs in SQL and Python with consistent definitions.
• Implement data quality checks and documentation for governance.
• Create dashboards/visualizations (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) for insights.
• Mentor engineers/analysts and set reusable data standards.
• Evolve data platform architecture with maintainability in mind.
• Collaborate with IT for secure data access paths.
• Champion data literacy through documentation and training.
