Job summary

Virta Health is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to build trusted data models and analytics capabilities at scale. You will write SQL and dbt models, develop LookML, and ship tested solutions into production.

Expect collaboration with engineering and business stakeholders to align metrics and data definitions. You will work with BigQuery, dbt Cloud, and Looker/LookML, modernizing data platforms and expanding self-service analytics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics engineering or related technical role with production data track record.
• Advanced SQL and data-modeling judgment, handling joins, history, and events.
• Hands-on dbt experience: modular transformations, incremental models, testing, and docs.
• Experience developing LookML views, Explores, dimensions, and measures with consistent metrics.

Responsibilities

• Build reusable analytical models with dbt and BigQuery datasets.
• Develop shared semantics and self-service analytics via LookML views and Explores.
• Deliver modernization work into production with Looker Core migration and data rearchitecture.
• Turn business questions into technical solutions with cross-functional collaboration.
• Own data correctness, implement automated tests, and investigate data discrepancies.
