Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering management experience overseeing data and analytics engineers.
• Strong technical judgment across data pipelines, cloud warehouses, SQL and data modeling, and BI/semantic layers.
• Experience leading a significant data platform or analytics migration with validation and stakeholder adoption.
• Ability to own discovery, roadmap prioritization, and translate business needs into a plan.
• Track record of building reusable capabilities and enabling other teams.
• Experience hiring, coaching, and managing performance across remote teams.
• Clear communication linking priorities to outcomes with evidence-based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow both engineering disciplines. Coach data and analytics engineers and plan hires.
• Complete the data and analytics migration, including validation and retirement of legacy paths.
• Own discovery, priorities, and delivery with cross-functional partners.
• Expand self-service with reusable ingestion and transformation patterns, tooling, and standards.
• Own analytics engineering quality: dbt models, semantic definitions, and LookML.
• Advance data capabilities for agents and ML with governed datasets and interfaces.
• Improve reliability and governance with ownership, testing, alerts, and security collaboration.
• Improve team effectiveness through AI-assisted development and automated tooling.
