Job summary

Genius AI in New York City is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer who will own how we model, define, and trust our data. You’ll shape dbt practices, partner with product, design, engineering, and finance to turn raw data into trusted insights that guide strategy and decisions.

This is an in‑person role. You must be commutable to our NYC headquarters and work in the office 3–4 days per week, with attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as analytics/data/reporting engineer with 2+ years of dbt.
• Experience building AI-assisted workflows for modeling, testing, or docs.
• Proven ability to ship; iterate quickly over perfect alignment.
• Advanced SQL proficiency with scalable data models.
• Deep experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and standards for our dbt project and data models.
• Partner with PDE teams to design features and validate metrics.
• Scope data requests with Marketing, RevOps, Sales, Finance and build solutions.
• Build and optimize dbt models turning raw data into scalable datasets.
• Use AI to automate testing, documentation, and workflows.
• Collaborate with data engineering on ingestion and pipelines (Snowflake, dbt, Segment, Matia, Fivetran, Airflow).
• Drive data privacy, governance, and data quality standards.
