Job summary

Altria Client Services LLC in Richmond, VA is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting team. You will support technical accounting research, apply accounting guidance to business transactions, and assist with external reporting so disclosures are accurate and compliant.

The role offers a hybrid work model with relocation benefits. You will prepare analyses, draft memos, assist with Forms 10-K/10-Q/11-K, and help implement new standards while advancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• CPA certification or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
• 4+ years in public accounting or SEC reporting, consolidations, or technical accounting.
• Experience preparing or reviewing SEC filings.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Exposure to SOX compliance and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Support technical accounting analyses for business transactions with documentation.
• Assist with disclosures and footnotes for SEC filings (Forms 10-K/10-Q/11-K).
• Collaborate with finance, business stakeholders, and external advisors on deliverables.
• Assess new accounting standards and regulatory developments and impact on reporting.
• Support SOX controls and disclosure controls in the financial reporting process.
• Draft accounting memoranda and technical analyses to aid decision-making.
• Leverage automation tools to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure timely, accurate external reporting and project management across workstreams.
