Job summary

Altria Client Services LLC in Richmond, VA is seeking a Manager, Financial Controls Advisory to lead cross-functional control initiatives from risk assessment through implementation. You will advise process owners, finance teams, and technology partners to design practical controls that address financial reporting risks.

Reporting to the Director of Financial Controls & Compliance, you will collaborate with IT Controls, auditors, and business units, drive remediation, and coach control owners on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, IS, or related field.
• CPA/CIA/CISA/ACCA/CIMA or similar preferred.
• 7+ years in financial reporting, internal controls, auditing, risk or compliance.
• Experience with SOX, COSO and IT controls in a public company.
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial disclosure risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional control initiatives from risk assessment through implementation.
• Advise process owners, finance teams and IT to develop practical controls.
• Collaborate with IT Controls Compliance on technology-reliant controls.
• Drive remediation by identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Deliver training and mentoring on internal control standards.
• Maintain control documentation and liaise with auditors on issues.
