Job summary

The Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to drive the Mainframe Transformation Program. This 100% remote role will modernize legacy systems, enable data migrations, and influence regulatory technology projects across Oil & Gas operations.

You will lead requirements gathering, business process analysis, and UAT, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and seamless deployment through 2030 renewals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in business process/workflow analysis and technical documentation on software development projects.
• Extensive requirements elicitation, stakeholder management, and facilitation experience.
• Deep expertise analyzing legacy systems and documenting business processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced business analysis for complex transformation initiatives.
• Gather and document requirements for legacy and emerging platforms.
• Develop and maintain technical diagrams and process maps.
• Facilitate sessions with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Oversee UAT, training, and implementation activities.
• Analyze legacy systems to identify root causes and improvements.
• Ensure quality of deliverables with standard BA methodologies.
• Support data migration from mainframes to SaaS/ETL solutions.
