Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support enterprise-level applications and projects. The role involves close collaboration with project and team managers to drive delivery across multiple initiatives, including production support and application enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert for mainframe systems across projects and support activities
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions
• Lead and contribute to end-to-end delivery including:
• Requirements gathering
• Functional and detailed design
• Development and testing (Unit, Integration, System, UAT)
• Implementation and post-production support
• Define and recommend architectural solutions aligned with business needs
• Manage assigned work units ranging from medium-sized enhancements to large-scale projects
• Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in COBOL, CICS, JCL, IMS, VSAM, and DB2
• Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Knowledge of software engineering, system design, and solution architecture
• Ability to work across multi-tier and cross-platform environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with .NET Core, C#, MVC, and Angular
