Job summary
DEFTEC Corporation in the United States is seeking an Emerging and Disruptive Technologies Senior Analyst to identify and catalogue EDTs and assess their implications for warfare development and planning. The role supports experiments and coordination across ACT's S&T program of work, providing insights to inform capability development and alternative analyses.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in S&T information synthesis, national EDT knowledge, and the ability to translate emerging
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, ICT or related field with 4 years post-related experience, or 6 years progressive experience in lieu.
- Experience gathering and interpreting research & technology information.
- Knowledge of S&T information sources in defense, academia, and government.
- Experience interpreting future S&T and EDT information for military applications.
- Proficiency with PC office automation products and internet research.
Responsibilities
- Identify new EDTs and catalog existing ones.
- Assess EDT implications for Warfare Development Agenda.
- Promote EDT experimentation in realistic environments.
- Coordinate input to ACT S&T POW programs.
- Influence EDT adoption to address capability shortfalls.
- Provide input to strategic foresight analyses and NDPP.
- Educate HQ SACT staff on EDT opportunities and risks.
- Maintain knowledge base for EDT stakeholders.
- Perform duties under Innovation Branch leadership.
