Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) invites applications for an Emerging & Disruptive Technologies Senior Analyst to support on-site in Norfolk, VA.

The role focuses on identifying new and cataloguing EDTs, assessing their implications for future military capabilities, and promoting practical adoption with NATO partners. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information and communication technology, or closely related scientific or engineering discipline.
• Active NATO Secret clearance or National equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in the acquisition, assembly, and interpretation of research & technology information.
• Knowledge of S&T information sources in nations, for example defense research laboratories, academic institutions, media, and defense ministries.
• Experience interpreting future S&T and EDT-related information for military applications.
• Proficiency with PC office automation products and internet information research.
• Ability to conduct analytical work on EDT documentation and develop practical adoption pathways.
• English proficiency as per STANAG 6001 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Identify and catalogue Emerging & Disruptive Technologies (EDTs) and assess their implications for the Warfare Development Agenda.
• Provide input to programming of EDT activities within the ACT S&T POW and support foresight efforts.
• Coordinate EDT advice informing strategic foresight analyses and NATO defense planning.
• Identify capability shortfalls that EDTs can address and coordinate adoption efforts.
• Educate NATO HQ staff on EDT opportunities and risks and manage a knowledge base on EDT adoption.
