Job summary

Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. (AHP) seeks a Senior Analyst/Statistician to lead quantitative analyses for behavioral health studies, national cross-site evaluations, and program evaluations.

You will collaborate with senior investigators on design, results, and reporting, and supervise junior analysts while shaping analytic methods. The role requires advanced degrees in social sciences or statistics and strong Stata experience, with proficiency in R, Python, SAS, and other tools preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in social sciences, statistics, or biostatistics with 3+ years in applied research in behavioral health/public health.
• Proficiency in Stata required; experience with core data management.
• Experience with additional data visualization or analytic tools is preferred.
• Experience writing up analytic methods and results.

Responsibilities

• Communicate study design, analytic approach, and results with senior investigators.
• Program complex data manipulations to create analytic datasets from multiple sources.
• Clean datasets, identify outliers, and manage missing values.
• Select statistical methods and conduct complex analyses (quantitative and qualitative).
• Summarize results in tables and create data visualizations for internal/external use.
• Assist in preparing reports and presentations with senior investigators.
• Contribute to proposals and write analytic sections.
• Collaborate on reusable code and data pipelines across projects.
• Supervise junior analysts and manage small to mid-size research projects.
