Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a senior level engineer to design robust power, analog, or motor control systems for the Effector Analog & Power team. You will lead circuits from concept to integration, guide ECAD drafters, and manage schedules across large teams.

Candidates will have a STEM degree with extensive hands-on experience in switch-mode power supplies, EMI, transformers, and high-speed interfaces, plus demonstrated leadership across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8 years of relevant experience OR advanced STEM degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with linear converters and buck/boost topologies; knowledge of isolated topologies like flyback/forward.
• Experience with EMI filter design, transformer/inductor design, and power electronics
• Experience creating electrical design specifications and requirements.
• Familiarity with MATLAB/MathCAD/Mathematica for analysis and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion and related analog circuitry.
• Lead circuit card development through design phases and manage large teams and schedules.
• Guide ECAD drafters on layout, routing, and layer stackups; ensure creepage and clearance.
• Lead teams to meet budgets, timelines, and technical execution.
• Foster technical growth and capture opportunities to mature the organization.
