Voyant Photonics seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in analog and mixed-signal design to lead the technical direction of LiDAR modules. This role shapes high-performance sensor technology built on silicon photonics.

You will define architectures, drive design standards, and oversee bring-up and validation across programs, mentoring engineers and coordinating with suppliers to optimize performance and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on hardware development with end-to-end ownership of high-volume systems.
• Proven leadership in setting technical direction for teams or product lines.
• Expertise in low-noise analog and high-speed digital design.
• Authority on signal/power integrity and EMI mitigation techniques.
• Experience driving designs through DFM, reliability testing, and yield optimization.

Responsibilities

• Define the analog and mixed-signal architecture for next-generation LiDAR modules, including TIAs, ADCs, and power delivery systems.
• Act as the technical authority on signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC, establishing design standards and review processes.
• Lead the bring-up, characterization, and validation strategy across multiple programs, ensuring robustness and manufacturability.
• Own critical design trade-offs affecting performance, cost, and integration complexity.
• Mentor hardware engineers and provide technical direction in cross-functional reviews.
• Drive supplier and component strategy for critical analog parts, engaging with vendors on custom components.
• Represent hardware engineering in technical discussions with customers, partners, and investors.
