Job summary

Analog Photonics, a Boston-based technology company, is seeking a self-starting Hardware Design Engineer for its automotive LiDAR business area. You will capture electrical requirements and design/test complex mixed-signal PCBs, mentor junior engineers, and interface across disciplines to develop robust systems.

The ideal candidate has hands-on prototyping skills, FPGA and FPGA-related digital design experience, and knowledge of electro-optics.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on engineering and prototyping skills.
• Schematic capture and layout of analog, mixed signal and high-speed designs (Altium preferred).
• Knowledge of IC selection and architecture guidance.
• Familiarity with SPICE, Matlab or similar simulation tools.
• BS/MS with 5+ years or 2+ years respective experience minimum.

Responsibilities

• Capture electrical requirements and design/test complex mixed-signal PCBs.
• Mentor junior engineers and interface with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Lead manufacturing and production activities for boards and modules.
• Design for reliability in automotive LiDAR applications.
