Job summary

Keysight Technologies, Inc. in Colorado Springs seeks an experienced Analog IC Layout engineer to join a design team responsible for full custom BiCMOS, CMOS, and bipolar IC layouts.

You will create transistor-level layouts from schematics and ensure tight device matching and thermal considerations. Responsibilities include DRC/LVS, floorplanning, and chip-level sign-off verifications, with collaboration across engineers and contractors.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or relevant experience.
• 7+ years of custom Analog IC Layout experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Cadence Virtuoso Layout XL tools.
• Familiarity with analog design in modern sub-micron BiCMOS (130 nm and smaller).
• Knowledge of device matching and techniques for quality results.
• Ability to manage multiple cell designs in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with Version Control systems (e.g., SVN, Cliosoft/SOS).
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a team of ASIC/MMIC designers by laying out full custom BiCMOS, CMOS, and bipolar ICs.
• Create transistor level layout views from schematics, including cell-level and full-chip assembly.
• Complete DRC, LVS, and maintain Layout XL compliance.
• Place device primitives using best practices for thermal and device matching.
• Solicit feedback from IC designers on critical circuit nodes and matching requirements.
• Understand and prevent EMIR effects.
• Assist with IC floorplanning and custom layouts.
• Coordinate layout activities with other engineers and contractors.
• Complete chip level sign-off verifications.
