Job summary

Volunteer Maine, part of the Maine Office of Community Affairs, seeks a senior program professional to oversee the AmeriCorps portfolio and grant operations from pre-award through closeout. You will lead grant development, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide targeted technical assistance while partnering with leadership to grow AmeriCorps participation.

The role involves risk-based oversight, contract development, and performance monitoring, with supervisory duties for the Grants Officer

Qualifications

• Eight year combination of education, training, and progressively responsible experience in procurement support, contract/grant compliance.
• Experience with federal grant regulations, compliance requirements, and fiscal allowability standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AmeriCorps grants from award through closeout, including contracts, amendments, documentation review, and compliance determinations.
• Perform risk assessments, lead desk and on-site monitoring, issue findings, and ensure corrective actions and audit readiness.
• Oversee staff involved in grant monitoring and compliance, including workload direction, review, and performance support.
• Develop RFAs, manage competitive review processes, analyze applications, and support issuance and revision of grant agreements.
• Provide technical assistance to grantees and collaborate with leadership on outreach strategy and AmeriCorps program development.
