Job summary

Hands On Suburban Chicago is seeking a 55 and Better Program Manager to lead the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP of Northern Suburban Chicago. You will be accountable for program success, grant implementation, compliance, team development, and evaluation, aligning with AmeriCorps policies and grant requirements.

The role involves supervising RSVP Coordinators, ensuring staff training, and collaborating with the CEO on strategic and operational decisions to advance the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum five years of experience managing programs; at least three years in a team management role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products and working knowledge of project management and CRM tools.
• Illinois driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check, as required by federal grant guidelines.
• Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP program delivery and liaison to partners.
• Plans and executes the annual RSVP budget with the CEO.
• Keeps all fiscal, personnel, program, and volunteer records current.
• Maintains and improves RSVP policies, internal controls, and procedures.
• Represents RSVP and HOSC with community organizations and national service programs.
• Reviews and approves all RSVP communications prior to production.
