UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Ambulatory Medical Coder Edits to work remotely, ensuring CPT and ICD-10 edits for Professional Services are accurate per guidelines. You’ll provide documentation feedback and support physicians under leadership guidance.

The role requires 2+ years of ambulatory coding, AHIMA/AAPC certification, and strong CPT/ICD-10 proficiency. Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is available, with full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification maintained annually.
• 2+ years of Professional/Ambulatory coding experience.
• 1+ years with LCD, NCD, Medical Necessity, Edits, OCE, MUE, NCCI.
• 1+ years coding payer denials.
• Proficiency in CPT and ICD-10-CM.
• Windows PC skills including Excel and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify CPT/ICD-10 edits for Professional Services per guidelines.
• Analyze and correct CCI Edits and Medical Necessity accounts.
• Adhere to coding ethics per AAPC/AHIMA standards.
• Maintain performance on coding quality and productivity targets.
• Provide documentation feedback to providers and query physicians.
• Stay updated with QM/Coding leadership materials and guidance.
• Participate in department meetings and training events.
