Job summary

Apex Tool Group is seeking a Senior eCommerce Analyst, Amazon to join our Amazon Account Management team. You will support day-to-day management, analyze sales and profitability, and develop dashboards to drive growth for one of our largest retail partners.

Work with cross-functional teams to forecast, plan, and optimize product availability, pricing, and promotional activities, while delivering actionable insights and reports for leadership reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in eCommerce, sales operations, retail, category management, analytics, finance, or related commercial function. Amazon experience is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and recommended actions.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including large datasets, pivot tables, lookups, and financial or commercial analyses.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day management of the Amazon business, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive profitable growth.
• Analyze Amazon sales, profitability, traffic, conversion, inventory, pricing, and operational performance to identify trends and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain recurring business reporting, dashboards, and scorecards with visibility into key account KPIs.
• Support forecasting, annual planning, and ongoing performance management by analyzing historical trends and activity.
• Monitor product availability, inventory health, purchase orders, fill rates, and other operational metrics to prevent issues.
• Analyze pricing and competitive activity across Amazon and broader retail marketplace.
• Support Amazon profitability management by evaluating product-level economics, fees, freight, and trade investment.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews with performance analysis and recommended actions.
• Support promotional planning and post-event analysis, measuring incremental sales and ROI.
• Assist with new product launches and assortment initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Identify and resolve operational issues impacting Amazon business and develop corrective actions.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer critical business questions and support negotiations.
