Job summary

TELUS Digital is seeking an Amazon Connect Application Architect to design and build complex Amazon Connect solutions within the CX Platforms team. You will translate business goals into secure, scalable architectures on AWS and lead hands-on development with a delivery-focused mindset.

The role combines design authority with practical build expertise, including Terraform/IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and integrating Connect with CRM/WFM/ERP. Hybrid/remote options within the U.S. are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in contact center solutions and 4+ years in technical leadership/architect role for CCaaS or cloud deployments.
• Proven ability to design and build complex omnichannel CX solutions on Amazon Connect and AWS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless development, IaC, and automated deployments.
• Experience building custom agent experiences with Amazon Connect Streams API and CCP.
• Experience architecting integrations between Amazon Connect/AWS and CRM/WFM/ERP.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Node.js and IaC/CI/CD experience.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end system design for IVR and voice workflows, omni-channel routing, and integration points; create scalable, secure architectures on Amazon Connect and AWS.
• Build and configure Amazon Connect contact flows; develop logic with AWS Lambda, Lex, Polly, S3, Kinesis, DynamoDB; extend with Connect Cases and Customer Profiles.
• Validate architecture against AWS best practices; approve configurations and deployments; drive complex technical issues to resolution.
• Lead integrations between Amazon Connect/AWS and external systems like CRM, WFM, and ERP; guide migration from legacy platforms to Amazon Connect.
• Offer technical advisory on Amazon Connect capabilities; support discovery, demonstrations, and proofs of concept.
• Provide mentorship and hands-on support to engineers; act as primary technical consultant to clients in design reviews and workshops.
• Coordinate with QA to ensure thorough testing of experiences; monitor performance in production.
• Maintain clear communication between delivery team, project manager, and client; manage scope and blockers.
