  • Spot margin problems early and fix them before the client notices.
  • Set and oversee advertising strategy across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP where relevant.

  • Separate incremental growth from spend that would have happened anyway.
  • Work with large datasets in Excel and Google Sheets to generate actionable insights.
  • Deliver a short list of actions, owners, and expected profit impact after analyses.

About Lucra Commerce

Lucra Commerce is a boutique Amazon and Walmart marketplace agency built on one idea: the proof is in the profits. Most agencies sell top-line growth. We get paid on our clients' profit, so every decision we make, from a bid change to a coupon, is measured against the bottom line.

Our team runs advertising, operations, merchandising, and growth strategy for brands across categories such as food, beauty, wellness, home, and consumer goods. We're small by design, which means senior people do real work and have a direct line to the founder.

The Role

The Senior Account Strategy Lead owns the full Amazon P&L for a portfolio of client brands and is accountable for growing their profit, not just their revenue. You'll be the senior strategic voice on each account, the person clients trust with their business, and a hands-on operator who can still get into a campaign and fix it.

You'll also lead and develop members of our account and advertising team, setting the standard for how Lucra analyzes data, builds strategy, and communicates with clients. This is a role for someone who has run Amazon accounts in Seller Central for years, understands exactly where the profit leaks out of an Amazon P&L, and wants the ownership that comes with a small, growing agency.

What You'll Do
Own the P&L
  • Own the Amazon P&L for a portfolio of client accounts, from gross sales down to contribution profit
  • Pull the right lever for each brand: advertising spend and efficiency, pricing, promotions and coupons, fees and fulfillment costs, inventory, and assortment
  • Build quarterly strategies tied to profit targets, then track results against them every week
  • Spot margin problems early (rising TACoS, fee changes, unprofitable ASINs, stranded inventory) and fix them before the client asks
  • Set and oversee advertising strategy across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP where relevant
  • Stay hands-on in the ad console: audit campaign structure, review search term reports, and make bid and budget calls yourself when it matters
  • Separate incremental growth from spend that only buys back sales the brand would have gotten anyway
  • Work through large datasets in Excel and Google Sheets: Business Reports, Brand Analytics, Search Query Performance, ad reports, and settlement data
  • Come out of every analysis with a short list of specific actions, owners, and expected profit impact
Be the client's trusted advisor
  • Serve as the senior point of contact for client stakeholders, from brand managers to founders and CEOs
  • Lead weekly or bi-weekly client calls and quarterly business reviews
Lead and develop the team
  • Manage and mentor account and advertising specialists; review their work and raise its quality
  • Help build the playbooks, SOPs, and reporting standards Lucra uses across every account
  • Plan and execute product launches and major promotional events (Prime Day, Prime Big Deal Days, Black Friday/Cyber Monday)
What Success Looks Like

At Lucra, we measure this role by the results our client brands see. Here's what great looks like, and it's what your performance bonus is built around.

Your first 90 days
  • Get to know 3–4 client brands deeply: their goals, their margins, and what matters most to their founders and teams
  • Deliver a profit audit and 90-day growth plan for each brand, with a sales and profit forecast you build together with the client
  • Lead your first quarterly business review with every brand you partner with
Over the long term
  • Profit growth for our brands: Contribution profit across the brands you lead grows 20%+ year over year
  • Forecasts brands can plan around: Quarterly sales and profit land within ±10% of the plan you set together
  • Efficient advertising: Ad spend stays at or below each brand's agreed TACoS target while total sales grow
  • Partnerships that last: Brands stay because the results are there. Our goal is relationships that run 24+ months, with 95%+ of the business you manage continuing month over month
  • Proactive communication: Every brand gets its quarterly business review on schedule and hears about issues from you first, along with a plan to fix them
  • A stronger team: The specialists you lead hit their goals and grow in their roles
What You Bring

These are requirements, not preferences. Please apply only if you meet all of them.

  • 5+ years of hands-on Amazon advertising experience in Seller Central. You've built and managed campaigns yourself, not just reviewed someone else's reports.
  • P&L ownership. You've been accountable for the profitability of an Amazon business and can explain how advertising, pricing, promotions, Amazon fees, COGS, and inventory each move contribution margin.
  • Client-facing experience. You've managed client or senior stakeholder relationships directly, including running business reviews and handling difficult conversations.
  • Management experience. You've directly managed, trained, and held accountable at least one other person.
  • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets. Pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and building models from raw exports are second nature. You can take a large, messy dataset and come back with clear, prioritized action points.
  • U.S.-based and authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor visas.
  • Self-starter. You find the problem, own it, and drive it to a result without waiting to be told.
Nice to Have
  • Agency experience managing multiple brands at once
  • In-house experience running an Amazon channel for a brand
  • Amazon DSP, Amazon Marketing Cloud, or Brand Analytics / Search Query Performance analysis
  • Experience with tools such as Kapoq, DataDive, Helium 10, or SmartScout
Compensation and Benefits
  • Performance bonus tied to the profit growth of the accounts you lead
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Generous paid time off
  • 100% remote with a flexible schedule
  • Direct access to the founder and real input into how the agency grows
