Job summary

Altium Limited, part of the Renesas Group, seeks a Senior Product Support Engineer with deep Altium expertise to lead complex technical escalations and mentor the support team in San Diego. You will own critical investigations of PCB design and enterprise workflows, collaborating with R&D, Product Management, and Engineering to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of electronic design software and verification/automation.
• Advanced experience supporting PCB design workflows with Altium products.
• 6+ years in PCB design, electronic product development or EDA software support.
• Strong communication skills; team leadership or mentoring preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a prioritized customer base and escalate when needed.
• Escalation resource and document technical findings for broader teams.
• Support customers via FAQs, Knowledge Base, Online Help, and Community Forum.
• Document all issues and case activities per support processes.
• Lead root cause analysis for high-impact escalations with R&D and Engineering teams.
• Create online help, user guides, video tutorials, and knowledge base content.
• Provide live coaching and technical leadership to team members.
• Test pre-release products and prep teams for releases.
