Job summary

Janney is seeking a Senior Alternative Investments Operations Associate to join our Operations team in Philadelphia. The role oversees daily processing of hedge funds, private equity, real estate and other non-traditional vehicles, ensuring data integrity, reconciliation, and issue resolution.

You will act as a subject-matter resource, support training and quality review, and contribute to process improvements while coordinating with fund administrators and internal partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of investment operations experience with exposure to alternative investments.
• Series 99 and SIE required within 120 days of employment.
• Series 7 preferred but not required.
• Solid understanding of alternative investment products and fund documentation.

Responsibilities

• Process and oversee alternative investment transactions (subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, distributions, trails, fees, transfers).
• Serve as primary contact for financial advisors and client teams with timely updates.
• Perform detailed reconciliation of positions, cash activity, and suspense accounts across systems and custodians.
• Identify, investigate, and escalate operational issues with ownership and urgency to implement solutions.
• Support process improvements, testing of new systems, and onboarding/training of new staff.
• Maintain and validate alternative investment data across internal systems and reporting platforms.
