Qualifications

• 8+ years in network engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience with CDN, edge, or application delivery platforms; Akamai preferred.
• Experience with scripting or programming using Python or similar languages.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Akamai services, including edge properties, routing, and security controls.
• Onboard applications to the Akamai platform while ensuring adherence to established standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting application performance, availability, and security.
• Develop and maintain automation for Akamai platform provisioning and configuration.
• Integrate Akamai capabilities into CI/CD pipelines using APIs and IaC practices.
• Support and enhance governed workflows, including GitHub pipelines, validation checks, and approval gates.
• Identify repetitive processes and implement automation to reduce manual effort.
• Support production operations and participate in incident response for edge services.
• Identify recurring issues and implement improvements to platform stability and efficiency.
• Ensure deployments comply with change management, risk, and compliance standards.
• Partner with application, network, and security teams to deliver Akamai solutions.
• Guide teams adopting Akamai automation workflows.
• Stay current with Akamai capabilities, automation tools, and industry best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, security, and operational efficiency.
