Job summary

TPI Global Solutions in San Jose, CA, seeks a Senior CDN Engineer to design, configure, and secure enterprise content delivery using Akamai. You will work across web, application, network, security, and vendor teams to deliver reliable global services.

Responsibilities include optimizing performance, automating deployments, troubleshooting latency and uptime, and leading incident response with a strong emphasis on SSO integrations and security controls.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in CDN, web infra, app delivery, web security, or SRE.
• Production Akamai experience in an enterprise setting.
• Strong troubleshooting, automation, documentation, and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Akamai CDN architecture for public sites, APIs, and software downloads.
• Configure Property Manager, edge hostnames, origins, caching rules, routing, redirects, and activation workflows.
• Tune Bot Manager and Fraud controls to manage automated traffic.
• Support App & API Protector, WAF, DDoS mitigation, Site Shield/ Defender, and security exceptions.
• Manage Akamai NetStorage and automate large file downloads synchronization.
• Improve performance via cache headers, keys, TTLs, edge caching, API acceleration, and origin offload.
• Use Control Center, Traffic Reports, Security Center, Edge Diagnostics, mPulse, and logs to monitor services.
• Troubleshoot latency, cache misses, origin health, DNS, TLS, HTTP errors, and uptime issues.
• Create monitoring dashboards and alerts for traffic, bots, and SLA compliance.
• Automate CDN tasks using Akamai APIs, Python, GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Bash or PowerShell.
• Support identity integrations for Akamai admin with SSO technologies (SAML, Okta).
• Lead production changes, release support, incident response, and knowledge transfer.
