Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Senior Airworthiness Inspector in Savannah, GA to perform critical inspections of aircraft and components, review maintenance records, and verify FAA compliance to ensure airworthiness. You will mentor technicians, coordinate Return to Service activities, and support training with a focus on quality documentation and regulatory adherence.

Requirements include an FAA A&P license, 6 years of inspection experience (3 on large or mid-size aircraft), and the ability

Qualifications

• Six years of aircraft or component inspection experience, including three years on large or mid-size aircraft.
• Strong knowledge of FARs, FAA forms, and certification/approval processes.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, manuals, and inspection documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and general computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections on aircraft and components within the Repair Station.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and inspection requirements during maintenance and outfitting activities.
• Verify aircraft and components meet airworthiness requirements before flight.
• Review and audit maintenance records, aircraft logbooks, and FAA documentation for accuracy.
• Coordinate with Return to Service (RTS) personnel to ensure timely records.
• Research maintenance programs, ADs, SBs, and inspection status.
• Mentor technicians on documentation practices and quality standards.
• Assist with training Airworthiness Inspectors and promote a culture of quality and compliance.
• Support troubleshooting, testing, and flight tests as required.
