Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA seeks a Senior Inspector A&P to perform stringent quality control inspections on aircraft and components, ensuring airworthiness and proper documentation before return to service. The role requires an FAA A&P license and extensive aviation maintenance/inspection experience, with emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

4th Shift—Friday through Sunday—offers a sign-on bonus and opportunities to mentor technicians in documentation and quality

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
8 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) with 2 years of Gulfstream/aircraft inspection experience.

Responsibilities

Responsible for Quality Control inspections on aircraft/components.
Completes inspections of aircraft, engine, and component repairs and alterations to ensure FAA-approved data compliance.
Coordinates mechanical, electrical and inspection requirements during maintenance or outfitting.
Keeps accurate, neat and legible records of work performed on aircraft/components.
Coordinates with RTS to ensure timely aircraft records.
Conducts audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy before return to service.
Ensures aircraft/components are airworthy prior to flight; mentors technicians on documentation.
