Responsibilities include directing a 24/7 construction schedule, coordinating contractors, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates a large-scale airfield and terminal program while under construction.
• Assigns and supervises the work of subordinates and consultants with clear standards and productivity goals.
• Makes comprehensive recommendations to construction problems to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
• Requisitions materials, supplies, and equipment; prepares equipment specifications.
• Ensures construction activities comply with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Prepares and analyzes records and reports using technology to maximize results.
• Directs, motivates, and counsels staff for performance and career development.
• Prepares and maintains a program budget and budgetary controls.
• Reviews RFPs; negotiates contractual terms; approves expenditures; resolves disputes.
• Represents the department at meetings with consultants, contractors, and other parties.
• Monitors changes in security regulations and directs changes to policies; administers change orders; notifies FAA of work changes.
