Job summary

The City of Charlotte is seeking an Airport Facilities Services Supervisor to oversee janitorial, pest control, environmental, and contracted services at Charlotte Douglas International Airport and about 80 additional airport facilities. You will ensure a clean, safe environment for tenants, employees, and travelers in a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities include managing multiple contracts, maintaining quality standards, and supporting mechanical operation of trash compactors.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school degree or equivalent with 3 years relevant experience.
• Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s with 3–5+ years relevant experience.
• Experience with environmental regulatory compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages janitorial services, pest control services and maintenance projects for Airport terminal and other Airport buildings.
• Monitors solid waste removal, pressure washing, window cleaning and interior landscaping contracts.
• Assists with operation of compacting trashcans and dumpsters to minimize downtime.
• Coordinates repairs with Building Maintenance and assists with snow operations as needed.
