Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking a Senior Master Craftsperson for the Weekend Day Shift at the Van Nuys facility. The role requires extensive aircraft structural and sheetmetal repair center experience and strong customer service skills. Base compensation ranges from $37.91 to $49.76 per hour.

15+ years in production/manufacturing/service center, FAA A&P license or repairman certificate within 30 days, and 2 years of related technical schooling preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 15+ years of extensive experience in production/manufacturing/service center.
• FAA A&P license or able to obtain a repairman certificate within 30 days of start date.
• 2 years of technical or trade school training in related area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical functions such as correct methods of in-service installations, repairs/mods, and refurbishments.
• Troubleshoot problems in in-service aircraft to determine cause and pursue preventative actions.
• Assist in planning methods for in-service aircraft refurbishments and installations.
• Interact with Engineering and Quality Control to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions.
• Plan and administer an Employee Skills Development Program with Training Department.
• Maintain knowledge of industry standards and procedures related to installations and repairs.
