Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly experienced technician for a weekend day shift (Friday to Sunday, 6:00am-6:30pm). The role requires extensive aircraft structural and sheetmetal repair experience and a FAA A&P license or ability to obtain a repairman certificate within 30 days.

High school diploma or GED plus substantial production/manufacturing background is essential. The position emphasizes leadership, troubleshooting, and collaboration with Engineering and Quality Control

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
15+ years extensive experience in production/manufacturing/service center.
FAA A&P license or be able to obtain a repairman certificate within 30 days of start date.
2 years technical or trade school training in related area preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform technical functions such as correct methods of in-service installations, repairs/mods, & refurbishments.
Troubleshoot problems in in-service aircraft to determine cause and pursue preventative actions with proper liaison.
Assist in problem solving to establish or correct planning methods for in-service aircraft refurbishments & installations.
Interact with Engineering, Product Support Engineering, & Quality Control to troubleshoot problems & implement solutions.
Organize and administer an Employee Skills Development Program.
