Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace is hiring a Structural Mechanic 4 for the weekend day shift (Friday to Sunday, 6:00am–6:30pm) at the Van Nuys/GAC site. You will perform detailed structural assembly, riveting, and layout using complex drawings and FAA paperwork, ensuring high-quality, defect-free assemblies.

Six years of related experience and repair station background are preferred. The role requires reading blueprints, working with Solumnia/Smarteam, and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
6 years related structural assembly experience.
Experience working with Solumnia and Smarteam preferred.
Q-stamp preferred.

Responsibilities

Use skilled methods to contribute to development of techniques and complete work efficiently.
Perform assembly and fitting of parts and structures with drilling and riveting.
Read blueprints and engineering drawings to lay out, fabricate and install parts on aircraft.
Rivet structural assemblies and inspect for conformance before final inspection.
Mentor teammates in interpretation of drawings and orders.
