Job summary

West Star Aviation in Perryville, MO, is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician to perform drilling, riveting, cutting on airframes and components, and apply sealants. You will read blueprints, work from drawings, and cooperate with teams to meet tight deadlines in a hangar environment.

Candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent; Airframe and Powerplant license preferred, and willingness to travel locally, will thrive.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Airframe and Powerplant license is preferred.
• Prior sheet metal experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform drilling, riveting, and cutting on airframe and components.
• Apply sealant, sound deadening and finish materials as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of shop facilities and tooling.
• Navigate electronic manuals and training data bases with basic computer skills.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
