Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced engineer in Middletown, CT to review and verify assembly equipment blueprints and mentor junior engineers. You will ensure drafting accuracy using CAD tools and adhere to ASME Y14.5 standards.

Ideal candidates have a STEM degree and 8+ years of engineering experience (or 5+ with an advanced degree) and must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance. This onsite role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in STEM with 8+ years of engineering experience or 5+ years with an advanced degree.
• Experience in mechanical design, drafting and engineering review in manufacturing or assembly environments.
• Ability to obtain government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify assembly equipment blueprints per ASME Y14.5.
• Create checked blueprints and provide clear feedback to design engineers.
• Develop methods to improve engineering processes and reduce NPI cycle time.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Mentor junior engineers in drafting accuracy.
