Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Worker to support HQ USAF operations and safe air transport for Cabinet Members, senior leaders, and visiting dignitaries. You will detail, polish, and prepare aircraft to required standards, with readiness for varying shifts and outdoor work.

The role requires mechanical tool knowledge, safety discipline, and the ability to obtain a secret security clearance and a flightline license. Training and cross-utilization opportunities may apply.

Qualifications

• A working knowledge of mechanical tools and aircraft safety is required.
• Must be capable of operating portable fire-fighting equipment.
• Must be able to read and comprehend technical data.
• Occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. US Citizenship is required to obtain the clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a flightline driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft detailing and polishing to the SAM FOX standard.
• Must be meticulous and thorough, following proper procedures and using the right tools and products for each task.
• Able to work at heights and comfortable reaching, bending, with strong attention to detail.
• Operate JLG, genies, and support equipment; outdoor work in inclement weather may be required.
• Assist with towing aircraft and ground handling as needed.
• Operate ground support equipment and use hand tools, special tools, and fixtures as required.
• Practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
• Be able to work day, second, night, and weekend shifts as required.
• Maintain disinfection qualifications for required tasks.
• Could receive cross-utilization training in other maintenance tasks.
