Job summary

Serco is seeking a Senior Equipment Specialist to support Aircraft Electrical & Auxiliary Power Systems and Avionics for a cutting-edge Air Force program at Tinker AFB, OK. The role requires an active SECRET clearance and a strong background in aircraft maintenance, power systems, and LO.

Travel up to 10% may be required. Responsibilities include advising on tooling, reviewing technical data, updating orders, and coordinating with contractors to ensure feasible and sustainable modifications.

Qualifications

• Active SECRET clearance required with recent background investigation or Continuous Evaluation.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred; High School Diploma/GED required.
• 10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance in organizational or depot level environments, preferably with power systems, avionics, and LO.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical, auxiliary power, avionics, and LO materials as a technical advisor.
• Review specs, interface control documents, and data to develop tooling and parts.
• Maintain stocklists in designated USAF databases and ensure data accuracy.
• Validate and edit Technical Orders and data modules for accuracy and compliance.
• Evaluate contractor proposals for feasibility and supportability of modifications.
• Assess test results to plan required maintenance activities.
• Support base and depot level maintenance actions using USAF data and systems.
• Develop maintenance strategies and select suitable tools and orders.
• Collaborate with operators and prime contractors to optimize processes.
